Starbucks barista goes above and beyond for customer


Like anyone with a disability, Ibby Piracha wants to be treated like any other normal person. But because he is deaf, he is faced with different challenges every day. Many people do not bother to learn sign language unless they have a family member or friend that is deaf, this can make life difficult for the hearing impaired.

When Ibby walked into his local Starbucks one morning recently, he was met with a moving surprise. The barista who had been serving him each morning handed him a slip of paper and started to sign instead of reading his order off of his phone like she normally does. She had learned a few basic words and phrases to make her customer’s life a little easier. Pretty amazing random act of kindness.
