King Felipe IV will offer a public address at noon on Friday from the King’s Balcony of Government House overlooking The Plaza de la Constitución.
It is suggested by city officials that those wishing to hear the address should be in the Plaza de la Constitución by 11:45 a.m.
Much of the on-street parking in downtown will be restricted on Friday, those going to listen to the address are encouraged to park at the Historic Downtown Parking Facility at 10. W. Castillo Drive.
The Castillo and its parking lot, the Lightner Museum, and Government House will be closed to the public until approximately 1 p.m. Friday.
The king and queen will arrive in St. Augustine on Friday to participate in the U.S.-Spain Council International Summit and to recognize the 450th anniversary of the founding of St. Augustine.
